The unique file transfer service we offer is the flagship of our operation. It provides secure, HIPAA-compliant patient file conveyance from a health care provider to an outside entity (typically a personal injury attorney representing a provider’s patient or another health care provider involved in a patient’s care). When an outside party requests records and a patient release is evidenced, the provider’s office simply grants authorization with a few clicks of the mouse. The party requesting the records is electronically notified the file is accessible and then acquires the records directly from the Web site. The entire authorization and records delivery process takes less than 60 seconds. In order for a health care practice to participate in Transfer Pro, the provider must also subscribe to our File Storage and Retrieval service.

Health care providers are requested to pay an annual subscription fee of $395.00 to participate in the Transfer Pro platform. Once a health care provider becomes a system subscriber, there are no other charges incurred for patient records transfer. Additionally, health care providers who obtain patient files from other health care providers are not charged for records acquisition. When an attorney obtains records from a health care provider, the attorney pays the acquisition fee on a per page basis. The charge is based on state guidelines relating to permissible medical records conveyance fees.
